Spreads are typical averages during the London and New York sessions and are indicative. They can widen when markets are volatile or thin. Raw forex and metals trades also pay commission; share CFDs pay commission on both accounts. Swaps are in points per lot unless stated, charged three times on Wednesday for forex and metals and on Friday for other markets. Times are server time (GMT+2, or GMT+3 during US summer time).

Spreads and commissions

Review whether a spread figure is a minimum, typical or time-specific value and the period used to calculate it. Variable spreads can widen as market conditions change.

Where commission applies, check the currency, rate, minimum charge and charging basis. A per-side rate covers one side of the transaction; opening and closing a trade can each incur a charge.

Overnight and other charges

Check the rollover time, rate and calculation method for overnight positions. Identify any days with additional adjustments. Review applicable currency conversion and account fees in the fee schedule.

Margin and account thresholds

Maximum leverage is up to 1:500 on major forex pairs and lower on other markets, and you can choose a lower level for your account. A margin call is issued at a 100% margin level. At 50%, positions start to close automatically, starting with the largest loss.

Trading schedules and adjustments

Use the current symbol schedule for session hours, daily breaks and holiday changes. Contract expiry, rollover and corporate-action adjustments apply where specified.

Orders are executed at the best available market price. The executed price may differ from the requested price: volatility, available liquidity and price gaps can affect an order, including a stop-loss. Contact us if you have a question about a specific execution.
